Mr Knight’s Incredible story of his extensive rehabilitation after being impaled on a metal rod for 5 days and 5 nights in Thailand.
Written by: Guy Wrench & Mr Knight, Sussex
My amazing canine friend, Mr. Knight, was a street dog from Thailand who suffered severe trauma at approximately 3 years old. He had run away from a noisy fireworks parade and got caught in a narrow cavity of a derelict building. Worse still, he got himself impaled on a metal post that pierced his abdomen. In trying to escape this dire situation, Mr. Knight ripped his body into shreds on the concrete rubble that he lay on.
It was five long days and nights before the Soi Dog charity was called to rescue him and it took months of critical treatment to get him back on his paws. Whilst his body scars healed, his mental scars remained and the trauma he went through that fateful week left him with an extreme fear of most things, including humans.
Being a volunteer of the Soi Dog charity, I felt a tremendous bond with Mr Knight and wanted to give him a chance at a great life with me in the UK, so I adopted him and bought him over to the UK to live with me. That itself was another traumatic experience for him, so it took many months of gentle and careful rehabilitation and a lot of love from me to get him to trust me, but he remained scared of everyone else.
This problem was impacting my life because I was not being able to take him to my usual places, and I couldn’t leave him alone for too long, so we were limited to where we could go and life started closing in on us both.
I first heard about Canine Angel and Natural Fulvic Vitality from a happy and fated meeting with Nikki Brown on other business.
When Nikki learned of his story, she said she wanted to help us both, suggesting that her Canine Angel 8-Step programme would be perfect for me and Mr. Knight. I was happy to have her help, so we got to work straight away!
I would rate Canine Angle’s Step 1 – Nikki’s assessment session, very highly and felt my confidence rise as I began to absorb her wealth of expertise and knowledge on Canines throughout this session.
Initially, I signed up for Step 1, 2 and 3 of the programme, as I was very keen to learn more about the correct diet for Mr Knight and how to make the transition from processed pet food to a Raw Meaty Bones diet.
Converting Mr. Knight over to Raw Meaty Bones is the best thing I have done for him. Nikki helped me with how to do a 2-day cleanse and detox of Mr Knight’s digestive system using the Natural Pet Vitality powder and OxyPet Oxygen Water method.
He loved them and lapped up his eggy shakes (a teaspoon of Natural Pet Vitality, mixed with OxyPet and an egg yolk), with such gusto that I continue to give him this mixture every morning as part of our daily good habits and routines.
Since changing to a Raw Meaty Bone diet, Mr Knight’s coat has improved, his teeth are clean, he doesn’t let off wind (well not often), his poops are smaller and don’t smell and he doesn’t gulp copious quantities of tap or pond water as he used to … often throwing it back up a few minutes later.
I never tire of watching Mr Knight chew on a raw meaty bone, he just looks so happy and content. It’s what a dog was born to do!
Nikki’s support throughout his diet changes was absolutely top-class.
After seeing improvements in his overall demeanour and well-being, and by putting Nikki’s sessions into practice, I could sense a shift in Mr Knight’s confidence. There was still a way to go regarding his psychological health, so Nikki suggested it was time for Step 4 of the programme, ie “Bioresonance Therapy”.
Mr Knight undertook three months of Nikki’s bioresonance therapy for animals service with the purpose of helping him relax more around humans. Our target was to take him to his first-ever dog show held by Soi Dog, the very charity that saved his life. The aim was to walk him around the parade ground with other rescue dogs, something that I thought was impossible at the time!
Nikki explained how bioresonance therapy helps shift blocked trauma and psychological imbalances such as fears and phobias and how over time it would help him gain more confidence in everyday situations. The e-pendant seen in Mr Knights photo was worn every day on his collar so he could receive his continual frequency patterns.
So it was that, exactly three months later, Mr Knight led the parade at the dog show. It was such a great day for both of us to be there and to start living life normally again!
He is certainly more relaxed with humans, but he is still wary and he probably always will be, due to the fact he started off his early developmental stages of life as a street dog, but this was a huge step for him and he responded magnificently
Mr Knight is unquestionably a happier dog and his bioresonance printouts showed improvements in many areas within his biology. He has always slept well and continued to do so through his therapy; he is more confident in the office and now ventures out from under my desk; and I am sure he barks less at strangers.
Nikki also helped me with Step 5 of the programme and taught me about the correct walking equipment to use for both myself and Mr Knight, to ensure that we both remain safe, secure, and in balance whilst being attached to each other by a lead.
We practiced her training methods with the equipment and it certainly helped Mr Knight to remain calm and in balance as he walked around the show ring at the Soi Dog show! It was a very proud and exhilarating moment for us both.
By far the biggest impact of Nikki’s training with us both has been an urgent need within me to learn more about dog behaviour, communication, and nutrition. So much of what Nikki tells you makes you think, think, think, and I am the type who likes to check things out for myself.
Working with Nikki has changed my approach as a dog parent. I am now so much more confident and this rubs off massively on Mr Knight. It has been a hugely rewarding experience.
In summarising our Canine Angel experience to date I would say:
“Nikki Brown inspired me to understand my dog better, and for that, I will be forever grateful. Since meeting Nikki, Mr Knight has become a calmer, more confident dog and I am certainly a far better dog parent than I would otherwise have been. In my mind, this is the perfect result. Thank you, Nikki.”
